List Rules

These are the rules for the StevePerry mailing list. Failure to heed the following rules will result in an official warning notice from the moderators.

  1. Respect your fellow list members. Flames and personal attacks are NOT tolerated.

  2. Threats against list members are not allowed and will result in immediate banishment from the list.

  3. Due to the number of FALSE virus warnings that have been received, ALL virus warnings MUST be investigated before forwarding. Forwarded virus warnings MUST have a reference URL for validation.

    Do NOT forward Urban Legends/Hoaxes to the mods to check them out for you. Check them out yourself at the links provided on our FAQ page .

  4. Due to the number of Urban Legends and generally misleading email, ANY email about missing children, potential gang attacks/acts of violence, or health warnings MUST be investigated before forwarding. Forwarded alerts of this nature MUST have a reference URL for validation.

  5. Politics and religion are two subjects that can most easily make us snap at friends and say rude things, thus we respectfully request that overtly political or religious subjects be kept off list.

  6. Disagreements between list members should be taken off list.

  7. Attachments are not allowed on the list. All list members are welcome to add files to the shared files feature on YahooGroups.

  8. Remember to change subject lines and edit responses. This makes the list much more manageable for everyone!

  9. From time to time the moderators will send posts with "ADMIN" in the subject line. These posts contain important information about the goings on of the list. We expect all list members to read and respect the content of these posts. Additionally, if you feel the need to respond to an ADMIN post, you are required to remove the word ADMIN from the subject line. Posts with the word ADMIN in the subject line shall only be sent by members of the Mod Squad.
